The Grouping product pod is a key constituent of the Grab Food team. The team’s focus is to build a collaborative ordering experience to make it easy for multiple users (family & friends) to place an order together, and, in doing so, make GrabFood more engaging and affordable for individual users. Our core focus is to persistently minimise service costs through upfront batching and transfer those savings to our valued consumers, thereby making a significant difference in their lives.

Get to know the job

We are hiring a Lead Product Manager to work on growing Grab’s Food consumer base. We are looking for individuals who are customer-centric, able to think holistically and systematically, and are great team players.

  • You are customer-centric, able to discover and empathise with customer pain points, and experienced in crafting delightful products that are easy to use.
  • You are able to use data to drive decisions, measure product performance, communicate impact, and get buy-in from senior executives.
  • You are a master communicator who will work to bring teams together, manage multiple stakeholders, and drive alignment and decision-making.
  • You are disciplined and understand that product management is both an art and a science.

The Day-to-Day Activities

  • Lead a pod comprising engineering, data science and design to define an ambitious growth strategy, develop and maintain a prioritised product backlog, and execute on delivering great user experiences.
  • Be comfortable with rapid hypothesis testing to identify and validate growth opportunities.
  • Work with product marketing, operations, and other stakeholders on innovative and well-defined go-to-market plans.
  • Ship minimum-loveable-products based on quantitative and qualitative data on user behaviour and experimentation.
  • Define success metrics and consistently measure the impact of your work.

Requirements

The Must-Haves

  • 6+ years experience in senior product management roles at a tech software company, with demonstrable success in launching new products/features with clear impact;
  • Demonstrated experience in product-led growth, including funnel optimisations and leveraging tech to scale process improvements.
  • Experience working on app-based consumer products.
  • Experience working with Data Science teams to launch products/features based on machine learning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Empathy for users and a drive to discover and resolve their pain points
  • Excellent business acumen, customer-centric, team and results-oriented.

The Nice-to-Haves

  • Bachelors in computer science, software engineering, information technology, business, finance, economics, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success in online food ordering, grocery ordering, e-commerce or mobile consumer products at scale.
  • Solid ASEAN/ APAC exposure.
  • Entrepreneurial or startup experience.
  • Experience working with distributed teams.
