SVP & Head of Corporate Governance

The Head of Corporate Governance is responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining a best-in-class governance structure at the FAB Group that provides a high quality service to its stakeholders. The Head of Corporate Governance reports to the Group General Counsel and oversees an effective overall Corporate Governance framework for the Group that reflects the FAB Group’s status as the second largest bank in the MENA region.

Specific accountabilities

• Act as Secretary and trusted Corporate Governance advisor to the FAB Group Executive Committee and its Members; collate and distribute presentation materials, attend and provide minutes of meetings and maintain the administration of the monthly meetings;
• Support the Board Secretary in providing online training materials covering emerging governance issues, supplemented by a presentation to the Board on a semi-annual basis; corporate governance support through the review of the Board Charter and development of board assessment tools.
