As the Staff Mobile Apps Requirements Engineer, you'll be the architect of clarity, bridging the gap between user needs and technical execution. We're a collaborative and innovative Systems Engineering group, dedicated to developing cutting-edge mobile solutions that empower users to manage their health with confidence. Where you come in:

  • You will translate high-level product vision, user needs, and UI/UX designs into detailed, testable technical requirements for our mobile applications (Android and iOS).
  • You will create and maintain comprehensive software requirements specifications (SRS), ensuring alignment with higher-level system requirements and software architecture.
  • You will manage requirements traceability and conduct thorough reviews using tools like Jama Connect, guaranteeing completeness, clarity, and consistency throughout the product lifecycle.
  • You will collaborate closely with software engineers and test engineers to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases that validate all documented requirements.
  • You will generate and maintain verification trace matrices and master trace matrices to demonstrate end-to-end traceability from requirements to test cases.
  • You will champion the adoption of systems engineering best practices throughout the software development lifecycle, advocating for rigorous processes within the team and across departments.
  • You will collaborate with software engineers and test engineers to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for mobile applications.
  • You will participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to software requirements and best practices.

What makes you successful:

  • You have a deep understanding of BLE architecture, mobile application development for both Android and iOS platforms.
  • You are proficient in writing clear, concise, and testable requirements following industry standards such as IEC 62304 and ISO 14971.
  • You have a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience using requirement management tools (e.g., Jama Connect) and software development tools like Jira, TestRail, and GitHub.
  • You are a strong communicator and collaborator, able to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You have a proven ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams in adopting systems engineering best practices.
  • You bring a proactive mindset and a passion for developing high-quality, user-centric mobile applications that improve people's lives.
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment, diving into code to troubleshoot and debug coding problems developers encounter. You are adept at writing sample code and client libraries to assist developers in implementing solutions.

Nice to haves:

  • You have an INCOSE Associate or Certified Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP/CSEP) certification or any Requirements Engineer certification.
  • You have experience with AI/ML and prompt engineering.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a technical discipline with 8-12 years of related industry experience.
