Assistant Engineer

Business Line: Geotechnical

Scope of Works / Sub-Teams:

• Slope Engineering & Site Formation

Job Duties:

• Assist the Project Director / Project Manager on all aspects of geotechnical and civil engineering design projects
• Assist the Team Leader to provide technical inputs for geotechnical design and related engineering consulting assignments
• Provide technical input for proposal preparation
• Coordinate with project team members, clients, government authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate project execution
• Prepare tender documents and provide technical assistance on tendering assessment
• Carry out site supervisions for geotechnical and civil engineering works
• Enforce ethics and compliance policy including Third Party payment, Sub-consultancy engagement process and Gift and Entertainment policy
• Need to work on Saturday when required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Civil / Geotechnical / Structural Engineering or related discipline(s); PhD candidates in their final year/ post-doctoral candidates in geotechnical field are also welcome.
• Completion of Scheme A Training is preferred for non-chartered candidates
• With 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering or relevant sector(s); post-doctoral research experience in geotechnical field will also be considered
• Effective individual contributor with ability to work well in team
• Good interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to meet various deadlines to complete tasks and project works assigned
• Self-motivated with high personal drive for achievements and success
• Knowledgeable in IT tools including business and engineering software and applications
• Good command of both written and spoken English while Chinese language skills are preferred
