Group Leader Materials Engineering

Tasks

• Lead and inspirethe Optotune materials engineering team, following Optotune’s core values
• Drive investigations of new materials with focus on polymers, thin films, metals, coatings, and bonding technologies
• Implement and maintain structures for selecting the best materials for high-volume manufacturing and carry out feasibility studies
• Define and implement structures for materials topics (handling instructions, safety, knowledge database, evaluation framework, …)
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams (engineering, supply chain, production, quality), communicate proactively, and manage stakeholders

Requirements

• MSc degree, PhD preferred, in Chemistry or Materials Science
• At least 5 years of broad industrial materials experience in the product development and production environment, preferably in a high-volume environment
• At least 2 years of experience and passion for team leadership
