Senior kdb+ Developer

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing technical leadership on client projects
• Leading technical teams to deliver projects on time and on budget
• Defining technical architectures and solutions
• Working with business users to define requirements for new application functionality
• Developing, testing, supporting and maintaining all code for client applications
• Analysing data and creating reports for clients, incorporating all findings
• Mentorship, training and potentially management of junior and mid-level developers

Requirements

Experience and skills required:

• 5+ years kdb+ development experience
• Experience of defining and implementing kdb+ architectures
• Proven delivery of technical solutions to appropriate standards and methodologies
• In-depth knowledge of creating and maintaining kdb+ solutions
• Experience delivering technical solutions in unix/linux environment
• Demonstratable technical leadership and decision making
• Experience communicating and liaising with key stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills and capable of tailoring to the audience
• Desire to improve technically and maintain up to date with the latest advances
• Experience of working and delivering solutions in Capital Markets/Investment Banking
• Cloud architecture and development experience is a plus but not essential
• Minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or any other scientific/engineering discipline
