As an Engineering Manager:

• You are responsible for building a remote team of engineers by hiring, managing, coaching, career development and performance review.
• You are responsible for architecture, design and practices.
• You will collaborate with colleagues in design, product and engineering for timely and high quality delivery.
• You will help your team to facilitate making decisions and remove roadblocks.
• You will foster a healthy, collaborative engineering culture.
• We are a multinational company, you will work with international colleagues around the world.

Requirements

You’re the hero we’re looking for if you:

• Have proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role, with a strong background in software engineering, including experience as a Back-End or Full-Stack Software Development Engineer.
• Are a polyglot with the ability to cross over different technical stacks and manage teams working across stacks.
• Have strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Are passionate about building and leading high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence, and mentoring engineers to achieve their career goals.
• Respect and challenge your peers and team members while welcoming being challenged.
• Have experience with software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
• Possess strong time management skills and the ability to balance multiple initiatives.
• Are comfortable with ambiguity and rapidly changing conditions, viewing changes as opportunities to add structure and order when necessary.
• Have experience in or willingness to learn Ruby, Python, React, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, AWS.

It’ll be great, but not essential, if you also have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working with LLM (Large Language Model) technologies.
• Experience in database design and performance tuning.
• Experience working in modular monoliths and microservice architectures.
• Experience in cloud-native architectures.
