Who are we?

Hi! We're Bee Talents, an IT recruitment agency that has been helping clients from all around the world in building their technical teams since 2015. Today, we would like to invite you to participate in the recruitment process for one of our clients (currently on Stealth Mode).

They are an early-stage start-up with a very experienced founding team from the UK and Poland making our first 10 hires in the next year, and are looking for innovative and driven individuals to join them. This is a unique opportunity to work with an ambitious team that values creativity, hard work, and a collaborative way of working. As part of their first wave of talent, you will have a big impact on the development of their product and company!

Product: the company's mission is to revolutionise the way homes are managed by building an AI-powered property management co-pilot. This AI agent will help clients with all things property-related - from finding an electrician or plumber to comparing home insurance quotes. Their platform will also digitise all information about a property to proactively manage maintenance and admin. The goal is to alleviate typical frustrations associated with property maintenance and repairs, thus improving marketplace efficiency and saving time and money.

Currently, they have 5 people on board (CEO, COO, CTO, UK Commercial Director and Head of Product) and we’re looking for the Founding Senior Back-End Engineer with 5 years of experience in software development (with at least a year in Python).

What our client can offer you:

🎯 Role: Founding Senior Back-End Engineer (Python)

💰 Salary and type of contract: 22-28k PLN on B2B (plus 0.5+% - depending on the experience - of the company’s value in 4 years vesting)

🌴 Holiday: 26 paid working days off + sick-leave

🖥️ Equipment: MacBook

⏱ Working hours: flexible (but there are dailies, plannings and retros they want you to part in :))

🏢 Working mode: 100% remotely (with several travels per year to London or within Poland)

🇬🇧 Speaking language: mostly English as most of the team is based in the UK :)

Your tasks:

• leading the development of the REST API using Python (on FastAPI framework), ensuring robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions,
• developing and maintaining cloud infrastructure (on AWS),
• collaborating closely with the CTO and product manager to define technical requirements and transform visionary ideas into tangible products,d
• riving the architecture and building of new features, focusing simultaneously on scalability and high availability while making tradeoffs with the business,
• upholding high standards of code quality and maintainability with thorough code reviews and adherence to best development practices,
• writing comprehensive unit, feature and e2e tests,
• developing CI/CD pipelines to ensure the highest quality of software delivery,
• documenting technical decisions and API,
• taking initiative in problem-solving, proactively identifying and addressing potential setbacks throughout the development lifecycle,
• mentoring mid and junior developers who will be hired in the next months,
• fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team.

What you’ll need:

• minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development, with expert-level proficiency in REST API development using Python,

• experience and being proficient in developing cloud infrastructure,

• knowledge of software development best practices (including version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines and containerization),

• excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability,

• outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead projects and interface directly with senior management,f

• fluent English with a minimum of B2/C1 level, enabling effective communication in a professional setting.

Nice to haves: familiarity with Gen AI technologies, experience in Fast API, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and working in a fast-paced, startup environment where rapid prototyping and iterative development are paramount.
