About the team:

Under the direct supervision of the Core Banking Development Manager, performs daily software

development and maintenance, database manipulation, operating system scripting, supporting client requests.

Works closely with customers, business analysts and team members to understand business requirements that drive analysis and design of quality technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business and IT strategies and complying with FIS architectural standards.

What you will be doing:

• You’ll will be developing core banking applications for internal (FIS) and client (ING Bank) based on functional requirements and technical specifications, following Agile methodology;
• You’ll work closely to business analysts and product owners to design and implement technical solutions to product requirements;
• You will write code, perform testing and debugging of applications using current and proprietary programming languages and technologies;
• You will be able to practice and develop Java Spring skills while developing and maintaining User Interface banking applications;
• You will work daily with hierarchical databases, manipulating data on top of Linux operating system;
• You may provide leadership and guidance to other technical professionals;
• In time, you may become part of the Production Support Group, offering 24/7 services on live production based on your experience and availability.

What you bring:

• You have at least 4/5 years of experience in software/application development, procedural or structured (OOP) programming;
• You have built an engineering mindset over the years in this industry;
• You have experience in working with relational or hierarchical databases;
• You developed an analytical thinking;
• You can communicate ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear and professional manner;
• Advanced English language level;

Added bonus if you have:

• You have knowledge of banking products, practices and regulations;
• You have a certain level of experience with Java or Python programming languages;
• You have worked with Azure repository and pipeline;
• You have previously been exposed to an Agile environment;
• You have worked previously with UNIX Shells and Linux OS.
