This position is on a new team working on a greenfield project. Initially, youβll be iterating quickly on a prototype and adapting quickly to customer feedback. As we near launch, youβll focus on scaling the project to millions of daily active users.

We are full-stack engineers with experience building web-scale services in a loosely coupled but highly integrated system

We are a mixed stack and polyglot team with a deep commitment to quality and to using the right tech for each problem we solve

Our front-end team uses React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and REST APIs
What you will do:
-
Write maintainable, testable front-end code that follows best-practices and conforms modern accessibility standards
-
Build frontend user experiences with our InstUI component library
-
Test and deploy frequently with Instructureβs CI/CD systems
-
Collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, and peer software engineers to delight users with innovative experiences
-
Lead projects that make learning ever more effortless, engaging, and accessible
What we look for (the more is better):
-
5+ years of professional software engineering experience
-
Deep knowledge of JavaScript, including the latest features in ES6
-
Established production experience with React and TypeScript
-
Solid experience in unit testing to ensure application quality
-
Ability to solve complex problems requiring in-depth analysis
-
Knowledge of Agile best practices
-
Strong communication skills in English
-
Passionate about learning new stuff
-
Knowledge of, and adherence to coding best practices
-
Commitment to code quality with experience testing up and down the pyramid

Ability and desire to work in an open and team-oriented environment

BS or greater in Computer Science is preferred
