As our new SVP Commercial and Strategy in DAZN’s Top of Funnel, Freemium team, you’ll drive the commercial execution of the Global Top of the Funnel strategy to drive user engagement with our content and features and resulting revenue growth across globally. You’ll be highly commercial and have your fingers on the pulse of the business. You’ll use your curiosity and proactive approach to understand the similarities and differences of our proposition across all our markets and turn these into revenue opportunities.

This is an opportunity to lead delivery towards tangible growth metrics, taking the commercial execution to the next level. Your leadership will steer DAZN’s Top of the Funnel growth strategy(free to watch proposition) to build, demand grow and retain our user base as well as increase the engagement and time spent with our content on the platform. You will be regularly challenged to ensure our ambitious targets are met, collaborating with regional teams and CEOs and EXECO Management teams to execute plans and deliver results. You will foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and DAZN’s current external partners, and assure execution of all top of funnel commercial initiatives to build demand and proposition and grow our user base in all our regions and its monetisation through advertising, sponsorships, upsell and cross-sell.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Be responsible for Commercial KPIs and Strategy for Top of the Funnel (non-subscription audience) in this senior commercial leadership and management role.
  • Execute the Top of the Funnel strategic projects to maintain the growth of the DAZN audience and growth of the audience engagement with our content and features and resulting monetisation in the coming years.
  • Deliver Top of the Funnel audience growth and content engagement targets for all markets, alongside markets effort to derive DAZN subscriber growth and towards join defined KPIs across Product, Content, CRM and marketing metrics.
  • Define commercial strategy and plans that supported significant audience and viewership growth. Support and accelerate our growth ambition in partnership with other functional and regional teams.
  • Evolve our approach to measuring key KPIs across user growth and content viewership metrics and new advertising and conversion revenue streams
  • Deliver step-change delivery and data & insight capability to test and learn and implement new Top of the Funnel initiatives.
  • Drive the business including: Customer acquisition and retention, Product improvements specifically for Top of Funnel, Content merchandising, CRM and Marketing retention and acquisition plans.
  • Create new opportunities for new revenue growth. Investigate potential ideas, prepare business cases and develop a joint recommendation for new revenue generating investments.
  • Enlarge our content programming and audiences, working with DAZN’s rights and partnership teams as required. Set and delivering execution plan.
  • Analysis of competitors sports media industry trends to ensure a successful localisation of DAZN’s growth strategy. Lead regular business reviews to DAZN Management.

You'll have:

  • Relevant experience of B2C commercial management, and/or strategy & business development and an entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Experience in setting up a new business proposition and running a central metrics organisation.

  • Proven leadership abilities, supported by demonstrated track record in related industry role(s) with proven experience of recruiting, building and coaching a team.

  • Able to work in a matrix organisation and drive results via central teams (e.g. tech, marketing etc.)

  • Knowledge of the sports media and new media industries, with experience of valuing broad types of content, including sports and other media.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior industry executives.

  • Ability to secure and filter market intelligence to ensure successful commercial strategy design.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up actions. Demonstrable experience of implementing and scaling new propositions and utilising strategic analytical skills, including market situation/trend analyses, economic and P&L modelling and forecasting, scenario planning, go to market / roll out plans and operational feasibility assessments.

  • Exceptional communication skills across all levels of management, including Board level with ability to interact with those outsides of the immediate team to deliver preferred outcomes.

  • Operational experience combined experience in either Tier 1 Strategy Consulting firm, Investment Banking, Professional Services or In-House Strategy.

  • Pro-active approach with the ability to operate in ambiguous, agile and changing situations with multiple stakeholders to deliver results to meet deadlines, working on multiple projects.
