People Experience Director

Hybrid – London Office 2 days per week

Job Overview

As the People Experience Director you will have a key responsibility for making the Forum an amazing place to work, with development opportunities, high levels of engagement and inclusion for our diverse global workforce. You will lead our Talent Development program (LEAP) to make sure we are developing and retaining our high performing people and future leaders. This role will also manage wider learning and development to ensure we have the skills to achieve our strategy objectives and growth. You will develop our approach to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, we have a group of highly motivated people to collaborate on our EDI approach, but we are at the very early stage of developing a strategic approach. We have an engaged group of people here at the Forum, you will be pivotal in designing our approach to measuring engagement, along with the action planning process. These initiatives all need planning and communication and experience in project management and/or internal communications are a plus!

Learning, Development and Talent Management

  • Lead our learning and development, talent management and succession planning.
  • Implement an approach to assessing capability and learning needs, creating an annual plan to deliver learning.
  • Review our approach to accessing learning and manage the relationship with suppliers.
  • Find creative solutions to challenges such as time restraints to engage with learning opportunities that go beyond attending training, breaking down silos between departments.
  • Develop and implement evaluation, learning analytics and management information to assess the effectiveness of our learning and development approach.

Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing

  • Create and deliver a global Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and action plan.
  • Continue to develop an inclusive culture, empowering colleagues to lead and contribute to networks, initiatives and events.
  • Review our approach to adjustments to ensure colleagues with disabilities and neurodiverse conditions can perform at their best.
  • Work with recruitment partners and colleagues to establish a cycle of reporting to identify and overcome bias at each stage of recruitment.
  • Lead our reporting and success measures, including equality information, objectives and pay gap reporting.
  • Implement a holistic approach to wellbeing, including physical, mental and financial wellbeing.

Employee Engagement and Voice

  • Implement a new colleague listening cycle and approach, to engage colleagues in regular two-way feedback and improve how we set actions and deliver against them.
  • Collaborate with our recruitment partners and colleagues to enhance our attraction, EVP and candidate experience.
  • Embed our corporate induction to enhance the experience for new colleagues, ensuring they have everything they need to perform at their best.
  • Review our exit process, including reporting and acting on feedback and building a network for previous colleagues.
  • Manage colleague communication for all people initiatives and own the people materials e.g. our Culture Book and Intranet site.

It is essential for the Employee Experience Partner to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Subject matter expertise and experience in employee experience, ideally having led talent programs and EDI strategy development and implementation.
  • Flexible approach with the ability to work outside of area of expertise and comfort zone.
  • Able to create and implement innovative approaches to traditional areas of HR, overcoming barriers and resistance to change.
  • Able to lead on the implementation of projects, taking full accountability for successful completion.
  • Competent in running events, workshops and presenting to large audiences.
  • Able to analyse and interpret data to inform decisions and evaluate outcomes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement, with internal communication experience.
  • Positive attitude, resilient and resourceful in the face of challenges.
  • Competent in Sharepoint to set up and manage our intranet site.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

  • CIPD qualification or open to working towards this.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Project management experience / qualification.
