Position Summary

The Senior Claims Analyst will be responsible for overseeing Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, and Auto claims. This role encompasses overseeing every facet of claims management, which includes communication with claim adjusters, insurance providers, external and internal legal counsel, and various internal team members. Additionally, this position will develop strategies for the prompt and effective resolution of claims.

Responsibilities

  • Receive notice of all claims and confirm for accuracy and process any changes
  • Interact with adjusters to ensure appropriate plans of action have been identified and completed
  • Maintain a proactive diary on all claims, create plans of action and ensure adjusters and counsel are prompted when necessary
  • Promptly and effectively manages all claims to conclusion with little to no direction and oversight
  • Act as a liaison between the insurance adjusters and attorneys to ensure timely and accurate resolution of claims
  • Review and analyze claim loss and expense reserves established by the insurance carriers
  • Work collaboratively with internal colleagues on the reporting of lawsuits to the insurance company/broker
  • Prepare semi-annual analytic claim report for senior-level management and other reports as requested
  • Manage litigated and complex workers’ compensation, auto and general liability claims. This includes maintaining files, coordinating, and gathering information to investigate claims and provide general strategy and direction
  • Responsible for ensuring that best practices claim handling standards are implemented and followed
  • Conduct semi-annual claim reviews with focus on effective plans of action directed towards cost-effective claims resolution
  • Confidentiality of information at all times
  • Research claim management topics and stay abreast of claim management issues
  • Review claim invoices and process for payment.
  • Assist Sr. Director of Risk Management and Sr. Risk Manager as requested

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Business, or Finance
  • Three to five years of claims experience; including managing NYS and CA Workers’ Compensation
  • Capacity to cultivate and sustain strong working relationships across all levels
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Excellent communications skills required (both verbal and written)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point

  • Primary work environment in professional corporate office or remote
  • Willingness to travel domestically if needed (less than 25%)

The salary range for this role is:

$71,600.00 - $107,400.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
