System Engineer

CIMA+ is looking for a systems engineer to join its team. We are looking for someone who is willing to take on challenges and is ready to join a dynamic and growing team. CIMA+ is a well-established and multidisciplinary company.

We are currently carrying out several projects related to mobility systems, public transportation and the electrification of transportation. We also ensure the development of projects related to Big Data, IIoT or the smart city as the main contributor to digital solution opportunities in all CIMA+ markets.

The candidate must play a role as a systems integration consultant at the convergence of information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) affecting the sector's fields of activity.

The candidate will play a role as a representative of CIMA+ and will work with our clients to ensure that they are served adequately and professionally. The candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skills.

The position is not restricted to a specific office. We offer a flexible hybrid work model, enabling you to work from home and from one of our offices.

Primary responsibilities

1. Assist clients in planning, designing and implementing digital IT and TO systems such as:
   • Transportation planning
   • Assistance in operating vehicle fleets and garage management
   • Management and optimization of electric vehicle charging,
   • Payment
   • Integrated mobility
   • Traffic light priority,...
2. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients
3. Ensure technological monitoring, evaluate and recommend software and hardware solutions adapted to the needs of our clients
4. Conceptualize and develop system architectures, including:
   • Concepts of operation
   • Functional and non-functional specifications
   • Interface specifications
   • System validation and verification strategies and plans, …
5. Propose and implement improvements to optimize existing systems.
6. Actively contribute to multidisciplinary projects in other CIMA+ markets such as energy, water management, mining and construction
7. Participate in the implementation and improvement of internal processes and working methods.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering. Any relevant profile will be evaluated
2. 2 to 10 years of relevant experience
3. Experience or interest in consulting
4. Relevant experience in software systems engineering and integration
5. Member of the Order of Engineers (Asset)
6. Fluency in French and English is essential for this position in order to ensure harmonious interactions with our various stakeholders, guarantee clear communication, and complete our various projects on a national scale.
