Senior Water Resources Engineer

A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc., (AMT) an employee owned consultant engineering firm, Engineering News Record Top 500 firm and a Zweig White Hot Firm, provides multidisciplinary services including engineering, environmental, landscape architecture, surveying and construction administration and inspection.

With more than 450 talented staff, in 21 offices, AMT is growing and is seeking seeking a highly motivated part time Senior Water Resources Engineer, with 10+ years of relevant experience, to join our growing Team of design professionals. This role includes direct client interaction and supervision of professional services related to water infrastructure including state regulated dams, working with both public and private dam owners.

Responsibilities

• Services related to water infrastructure including state regulated dams
• Working with both public and private dam owners
• Coordinate internally with other AMT engineers on a wide variety of projects.
• Coordinate externally with clients and regulatory agencies.

Required Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of water resources related experience including design
• Prior experience with the Virginia Impounding Structure Regulations and the DCR Dam Safety Division
• Professional Engineering (PE) license
• Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills, both written and verbal
