Job Summary:

The Senior Director of Direct-to-Consumer plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the strategic vision for our company's direct sales channels. This leadership position focuses on driving revenue growth, enhancing customer experiences, and maximizing profitability through digital platforms and direct customer interactions.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Director leads the development and execution of a comprehensive DTC strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals and market dynamics. This involves analyzing market trends, consumer behaviors, competitive landscape, and technological advancements to formulate effective strategies.

A core aspect of the role is driving revenue growth and maximizing profitability through DTC channels. This includes expanding the customer base, increasing sales volumes, optimizing pricing strategies, and exploring new revenue streams and market opportunities.

The role involves overseeing and optimizing the company's digital sales channels, including e-commerce experiences, mobile apps, social media channels, and digital marketing campaigns. This includes ensuring a seamless and engaging online shopping experience for customers and leveraging data analytics to improve channel performance.

The Senior Director is responsible for developing and executing targeted marketing strategies and promotions to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. This may involve personalized marketing campaigns, email marketing, social media initiatives, influencer partnerships, and customer loyalty programs.

Improving the end-to-end customer experience is a key focus area. This includes monitoring customer feedback, analyzing customer journey metrics, identifying pain points, and implementing solutions to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and lifetime value.

Leading and mentoring a team of DTC professionals is essential. This involves setting clear goals and expectations, providing guidance and support, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture, and driving cross-functional collaboration with teams such as marketing, sales, product development, IT, and customer service.

The Senior Director manages the DTC budget, ensures efficient resource allocation, and tracks key financial metrics such as revenue, profitability, ROI, and customer acquisition costs. Data-driven decision-making is emphasized to optimize financial performance and achieve strategic objectives.

Driving innovation and continuous improvement in DTC strategies, processes, technologies, and customer experiences is a critical aspect of the role. This includes staying updated with industry trends, experimenting with new approaches, and adapting strategies based on performance insights and market feedback.

Strategic Leadership and Planning

  • Develop and execute a forward-thinking DTC strategy aligned with company goals and market trends.

  • Identify growth opportunities, market segments, and innovation within the DTC landscape.

  • Analyze data, consumer behavior, and competitive insights to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Set clear goals, objectives, and KPIs for DTC initiatives and track progress towards targets.

  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share through effective strategic planning.

Operational Management and Execution

  • Oversee the management and optimization of DTC sales channels, including e-commerce eperiences, mobile apps, and digital marketing channels.

  • Ensure a seamless and engaging online shopping experience for customers across all digital touchpoints.

  • Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns, promotions, and customer engagement initiatives.

  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, financial targets, and ROI to measure success and make data-driven decisions.

  • Manage the DTC budget, resource allocation, and cost-effective strategies to achieve financial objective

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of DTC professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Set clear expectations, provide guidance and support, and empower team members to achieve their full potential.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product development, IT, and customer service teams to align DTC initiatives with overall company objectives.

  • Drive cross-departmental collaboration, communication, and knowledge sharing to ensure seamless execution of DTC strategies.

  • Champion a customer-centric approach, focusing on enhancing the end-to-end customer experience, driving customer satisfaction, and building long-term customer relationships.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

  • Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in direct-to-consumer sales, marketing, and e-commerce leadership roles.

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and profitability through DTC channels.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing, e-commerce platforms, and customer experience optimization.

  • Experience in consumer goods, retail, e-commerce, or related industries is advantageous.
