The candidate will ideally come from the power supply industry but other candidates with electronics manufacturing experience will be considered. Overall we are looking for an energetic, bright self-motivated candidate who has a passion for quality who can help lead our company in the next stage of its development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • An active member and contributor to the North American Leadership team reporting to the management team on the organization’s status of quality.
  • Site representative for ISO9001 and ISO14001 at the XP Power San Jose, CA location.
  • An advocate of change management that helps further advance the business as part of continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership of the quality organization to help drive a proactive approach with improvements within design, manufacturing, suppliers and customers.
  • Active participant to further develop tools in the business to support the quality management system.
  • Ensure all functions of the quality system are completed and providing value, including audit program, corrective actions and customer complaints.
  • Present and be the main interface during quarterly business reviews with customers and in still confidence.
  • Collaboration with other departments and utilization of quality tools to help drive RCCA.
  • Develop risk based approach as part of decision making process.
  • Drive and promote a culture of quality within the organization.
  • Lead initiatives within the business to improve on process efficiencies.
  • Further advance the existing reliability program within the product lifecycle process.
  • Develop quality training program for internal customers.
  • Further develop monthly KPI’s on the health of the business.

Requirements

The candidate will ideally come from the electronics industry with in-depth technical knowledge of electronic manufacturing. We are looking for the following attributes:

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with PCBA manufacturing processes.
  • Able to work independently and successfully in a team environment.
  • Experience leading an organization through successful ISO9001 / ISO14001 audits.
  • High level of knowledge on quality principles; including 8D, fish bone, FMEA’s, CPK, Gauge R&R.
  • 10% travel required.
  • Experience with top tier Semi-Fab companies either working within or understanding the industry requirements.
  • High level of knowledge and experience with reliability concepts including Weibull distribution, reliability demonstration, bathtub curves.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronics Engineering preferred.
