Design Engineer

KEY ROLE:

WSP operates in a discipline model where project teams are located in dispersed locations and collaborate virtually to deliver project designs. The Design Engineer performs a variety of civil engineering design activities including 3D modelling of engineering designs and associated preparation of preliminary through to wayleave and construction drawings for projects, establishing guidelines and procedures and managing workload distribution within the Design team. The incumbent must be familiar with Autodesk Suite of design software tools. Proven competence in engineering design and high level-of-detail 3D modelling of water, wastewater and storm water infrastructure. The incumbent must have proven competence in 3D BIM model federation, with clash detection and resolution, whilst being able to develop and interpret civil engineering detail design work under the guidance of the professional engineer or professional technologist.
