Back End Engineer

Remote position (only for professionals based in Argentina or Uruguay)

We are looking for a Back End Engineer to join one of our client's team. Our client is a dynamic and innovative startup embarking on an exciting eCommerce project. They are dedicated to revolutionizing the online shopping experience with cutting-edge technology and creative solutions.

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Java Back End Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot, with additional expertise in AWS and GraphQL. Experience with Go or Node.js is a significant plus. This role requires excellent English communication skills and the ability to work independently and flexibly in a startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain back-end services and APIs using Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot.

- Design and implement scalable and reliable cloud-based solutions on AWS.

- Utilize GraphQL to optimize data fetching and improve API performance.

- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices.

- Troubleshoot, debug and resolve production issues as they arise.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

- At least 5 years of experience as a Back-End Developer with a focus on Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot.

- Strong knowledge of AWS and experience deploying applications in a cloud environment.

- Proficiency in GraphQL for API development.

- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects in a fast-paced startup setting.

- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a small, agile team.

- Experience with Go and/or Node.js is a significant advantage.

- Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Experience with database design and optimization (SQL and NoSQL).

- Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
