Robotics Senior Software Engineer - Drivers and Controls

As a Robotics Senior Software Engineer - Drivers and Controls at Dexterity, you will be developing software to enable real-time control, optimal planners, and much more. You will be working on our low-level drivers and controllers that interface with our robot arms and command them to move. You will develop and analyze robot driver performance and robot arm tracking. You will interact with vendors and build roadmaps for features around robot arm performance improvements. You will develop introspection and debugging tools to understand the behavior of your software, and deploy it in the field.

• BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of modern C++ and Python and standard libraries
• Knowledge of robotics and related fields (classical controls, linear algebra, filtering, etc)
• Good grasp of networking and computer systems concepts
• Familiarity with Linux
• Experience with Git and modern CI pipelines
• Familiarity with a wide array of software stack technologies (Docker, k8s, etc) is a plus
• Familiarity with interprocess communication (shared bus, pubsub, redis, gRPC, etc) is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
