Backend Team Lead

We’re looking for a talented and experienced leader to join the Reactive Production team at Wix. In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading a team of developers, driving technical decisions, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. In your day-to-day, you’ll:

• Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers
• Own decisions about product and architecture
• Collaborate with engineering managers, devOps managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize project requirements
• Supervise the development and implementation of scalable, high-performance software solutions
• Ensure that code quality, performance, and security standards are met
• Identify and address any technical challenges and bottlenecks
• Continuously improve development processes and your team’s performance

Requirements

• 4+ years experience leading R&D teams
• 10+ years experience working in backend development, with expertise in Typescript, go, python, or Object Oriented Programming (OOP) languages (Java, C#)
• Experience with high-scale, distributed systems and microservice architecture
• Knowledgeable in AWS cloud including infrastructure resources (VPCs, networking, storage and compute) and developer tools (Step Functions, lambdas, DynamoDB etc..)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English and Hebrew
• A track record of driving projects to successful completion
• You have a production-oriented mindset
