Federal Senior Billing Specialist

Your Impact

As the Federal Senior Billing Specialist, you will have the opportunity to provide direct support to the Billing Manager. You will collaborate with team members in other departments to ensure accurate and timely billing.

What You’ll Do

Location: Remote

• Review contract billing terms and apply those requirements to Federal customer billings
• Manage the invoicing process for Federal customers to include reviewing all invoice batches prior to posting and disbursement
• Review contract billing events for proper entry in SFDC against invoice billing batches in external ERP system
• Submit invoices to customers according to contract requirements to include entering invoices into customer web-based portals such as WAWF and IPP
• Track any pending contractual issues, billing issues, or pending invoices and work with other departments to make the necessary corrections, as well as track acceptance prior to invoicing.
• Monitor aging of Federal customer invoices and work with customers to resolve payment issues.

What You Bring

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of five (5) years relevant professional level work experience
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience reviewing contract terms and invoicing US Government contracts following terms and conditions as outlined under FAR
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in a high volume, high intensity environment preferred
• Advanced MS Office skills required (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
• Ability to work in multiple accounting software systems
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and recommendations
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, D365 and Salesforce Billing

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 52,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 78,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
