Business Unit Manager

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager Operations, Pact Packaging New Zealand (PPNZ) and part of a collaborative Operational team. This position is to provide strong leadership to the Wellington site, develop and drive a consistent culture of operational excellence across the business, focused on optimizing safety, customer service and manufacturing performance.

To be successful in the role, you will need:

• Minimum 5 years management experience in a manufacturing or Logistics environment
• Leadership skills
• Strong experience across operations, commercial and sales.
• Professional & commercial knowledge and acumen
• Able to work under pressure and show empathy when necessary
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills
• Demonstrates good judgment and efficient decision-making skills
• Customer service focus
• Flexible and adaptable
• Project management and multi-tasking skills
