Head of Technology Products Development

PeopleCert is currently looking for a Head of Technology Products Development to oversee the strategic development, continuous improvement, and innovation of our applications and systems. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who will play a pivotal role in evolving our technology products. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our Techology Products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

As a Head of Technology Products Development your tasks will include the following:

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the evolution of Technology products, aligning with the company’s vision and goals.
• Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.
• Product Development: Lead the ideation and design of new features and enhancements for existing applications and systems.
• Customer Experience: Work closely with customer support and feedback teams to understand user needs and improve the overall customer experience.
• Operational Efficiency: Collaborate with operations teams to streamline processes, improve system performance, and enhance scalability.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Technology, Marketing, Sales, Operation and other departments to ensure seamless product development and rollout.
• Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of product initiatives and make data-driven decisions.
• Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team dedicated to product evolution, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

What we look for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• Extensive proven experience (5+ years) in a product management or technology leadership role, with a focus on application development and innovation.

• Strong understanding of market analysis, user experience design, and operational optimization.

• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Excellent command of English is required (C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus)

• Excellent computer skills, digital skills, project management skills and ECDL certification will be considered assets.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

• A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
• Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
• HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
• Financial background check
• Employment reference check.
• If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
