Compliance & Financial Crime Manager

As the Compliance & Financial Crime Manager, you'll lead the 2nd line of defence for financial crime, coordinating anti-money laundering, financial sanctions, and terrorist financing controls. You'll ensure esure's systems align with regulatory requirements and collaborate with the first line to maintain robust controls. Additionally, you'll lead all aspects of the management and reporting of compliance and conduct risks, encouraging a strong compliance culture.

You'll work with the team to:

  • Stay updated on UK and EU regulatory developments, liaise with regulators, and ensure policies are current.
  • Act as a compliance expert, advising senior leaders on control environments to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Interpret and communicate new regulatory requirements to senior management, ensuring products and services comply.
  • Provide compliance input to business transformation initiatives and ensure preparedness for regulatory changes.
  • Offer analysis on regulatory and risk developments, contributing to executive and board reporting.
  • Support the Senior Managers & Certification Regime, including maintaining regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the Risk & Compliance team for knowledge sharing.
  • Assist in embedding a customer-focused compliance culture.
  • Review and develop LMS training to meet regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar compliance/audit role within Financial Services, ideally in Insurance.
  • Solid understanding of the UK Regulatory environment and relevant legislation.
  • Experience interpreting regulatory changes and assessing their impact on the business.
  • Ability to review procedures, communicate findings, and influence senior management to ensure compliance.
