Physiotherapist

• Provides physiotherapy assessment, consultation and planned interventions for patients
• Attends patient related meetings to report on assessment findings and discusses plans for interventions
• Implements treatment plans based on assessment, patient input and in conjunction with the patient’s integrated care plan
• Documents assessment findings, treatment plans, and progress and discharge summaries of interventions as required
• Evaluates treatment plans and make changes as necessary with the patient for optimal client/patient outcomes
• Observes the performance of those assisting in the physiotherapy program and provides guidance as necessary

Requirements

• Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized school
• Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• Excellent Client/patient assessment, communication and teaching skills
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Have knowledge of and be sensitive to religious, ethnic and cultural diversity
• Proficiency in English both written and verbal; additional languages an asset
• Current Police check for work with the vulnerable sector
