We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Payments squad

As one of Australia’s largest independent providers of real-time payment solutions, our Payments team have the expertise, scale and infrastructure to maximise every opportunity the New Payments Platform (NPP) offers.

The Senior Business Analyst is a key role for the delivery of real-time payment solutions that enable our clients (banks, payment service providers (PSPs) and corporates) to process payments on behalf of their customers. The responsibilities of the role include:

• Eliciting the actual needs of stakeholders, not simply their expressed desires
• Working as part of the Development Team to assess solution proposals and establish which will most effectively business needs
• Facilitating effective communications between organisational business units
• Aligning the needs of the business unit with the capabilities delivered by information technology (i.e., serve as the translator between those groups)
• Defining and validating solutions that meet business needs
• Working collaboratively with the Product Owners to ensure that sprint goals are met.

About You:

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will have the following skills and experience:

• Extensive experience as a Senior Business Analyst in the IT industry within Financial Services sector
• At least 3 years' experience in Payments projects (either Real Time or Batch), exposure to modern payment solutions eg. NPP & PayTo is highly regarded
• Good understanding of PCI
• Familiarity with BABOK framework

And experience and or skills in the following technology:

• Strong skills with MS Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and Visio
• Competent in BPMN, UC, SQL, XML, AS2805, ISO20022, Jira & confluence
• Good business planning, analytical and conceptual skills
• Competent with Atlassian tool set
