The Finance Subject Matter Expert position represents an advanced level of expertise in product specialization within WinAir. In this role, the individual is skilled at navigating across diverse areas of the company to support multiple teams and initiatives throughout the business lifecycle. Leveraging extensive accounting knowledge, the Finance Subject Matter Expert serves as a valuable resource in areas including, but not limited to, providing expert insights to address industry challenges, WinAir product support, training, aircraft services, business/technical analysis and quality assurance.

Responsibilities and Duties

Finance Consultant in the following areas:

  • Engage and consult with clients regarding accounting software integrations with WinAir.
  • Provide internal support to other subject matter experts regarding accounting best practices.
  • Provide product demonstrations to new and existing customer leads regarding accounting software integrations with WinAir and accounting best practices.
  • Assist the product development life cycle with advancements to accounting functionality within WinAir.
  • Work with other team members to ensure proper documentation, training materials, etc., are available regarding accounting functionality within WinAir.
  • Provide customer relationship management to customer's financial teams.

Requirements

Education & Training

  • Post-secondary education in an accounting background (mandatory).
  • Post-secondary education with an aviation background or a software/technical background (optional).

Experience

  • Accounting Industry knowledge and familiarity
    • 5+ years experience
  • Previous aviation experience is a definite plus
    • Industry knowledge and familiarity with aviation terminologies and concepts.
    • Working experience or knowledge of WinAir or other aviation management software.
  • Previous experience in delivering end-user training or providing consultation services is preferred.
  • Previous experience or education in technical writing is an asset.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively analyze and assist with the client’s needs.
  • High technical aptitude and proficiency with general information technology.
  • Exceptional attention to details and organizational skills.

Certification/Licenses

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a MBA, CMA, CGA, CA or CPA designation or equivalent work experience

Environment and Physical

  • Must reside in Canada.
  • Must be able to work remotely and on-site upon request.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Be able to travel to client locations (Required: valid driver’s license and passport).
