The Opportunity

Join our dynamic team at Centre Hill Station, a farm driven by performance and profitability, where you'll collaborate with dedicated staff committed to achieving exceptional results.

As a Stock Manager, you will lead, inspire, and develop a dedicated team of shepherds, while overseeing the day-to-day operations of our extensive farm.

Key Responsibilities:

· Ensure accurate and timely stock data recording and reporting.

· Assist the Farm Manager in planning and executing farming operations.

· Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of shepherds.

· Manage and update farm data records using Farmax, Farm IQ, and other systems.

· Optimise farm performance and improve operational processes.

The Farm

Covering over 4,000 hectares, this property winters approx. 30,000 units, currently including 14,400 Romney ewes and 930 In-Calf cows and 170 in-calf heifers. It follows a simple breeding finishing system with an outlet for store trading if required to fill other Pamu finishing properties.

Centre Hill has a high level of on farm infrastructure and a modern well maintained vehicle fleet. With a stretched-out layout spanning 25 kilometres, the station features a mix of flat and rolling hill. The farm has some specialist finishing pastures, Red clover, Lucerne and summer crops for lamb finishing to match the diverse soil types of the property.

About You

Are you passionate about stock management, with solid experience in sheep and beef farming and you have:

· A genuine enthusiasm for stock management

· Excellent attention to detail for maintaining records

· Strong time and people management skills

· Commitment to high standards of quality and safety

· A full team of capable dogs and a current NZ driver’s license
