As Marqeta’s Senior Director, Sales Europe, you will define and drive the execution of Marqeta GTM in the region, and work closely with cross-functional teams at Marqeta. You will set the strategy for meeting Sales Team quarterly and annual goals by defining priority verticals and countries, own execution and grow the Sales Team towards consultative and solution selling.

Our Growth, Core, Enterprise, & Strategic Accounts sales teams partner closely with the most innovative companies in North America and Europe to deliver Modern Card Issuing and Processing solutions that help customers manage their finances, and build wealth and economic stability. Marqeta is powering a transformation in payments as companies transition to providing innovative embedded financial solutions for their customers. We advise prospects and customers on the shifting payments marketplace, potential ways to innovate in the space, derive increased value from the movement of money and increase customer loyalty.

While we work Flexible First, in this role we expect you to spend time closely with your teams and customers, and we are looking for candidates who are based or willing to relocate to London, UK.

The Impact You’ll Have

  • Operate as an integral part of the European Senior Leadership team to define and execute on GTM strategies and consistent sales process
  • Build and execute the Sales strategy for Europe including defining target verticals, countries and identifying key prospect clients
  • Own and deliver on revenue and gross profit quarterly and annual targets of the Region
  • Cultivate relationships with CXO-level executives to build pipelines and drive revenue growth
  • Coach, manage, and grow sales leaders and their Account Executive and Account Manager teams towards solution and consultative selling
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment with key partner teams, including Vetting, Delivery, GNSO, Sales Strategy and Operations, Banking Partnerships and other teams in sales globally
  • Build a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and high-performing sales organization.

Who You Are

  • 15 years of experience in Sales
  • 5 years of experience in managing Sales Teams and Sales Leaders with proven track record of driving and executing transformation towards solution and consultative selling
  • Thought leadership, as demonstrated by industry expertise in Payments, Retail, Fintech and Banking, with an ability to influence in complex situations.
