Who We Are

Hangar 13 is an internal 2K development studio that creates influential AAA video game experiences across all major platforms. The studio is based in four locations around the world: Brighton (UK), Brno & Prague (Czech Republic) and across the US, working collaboratively as one team. Each of our locations provides the opportunity to work with some of the most dedicated developers in the industry, on creatively challenging and exciting projects, in a diverse and welcoming environment.

Our focus is on making the highest quality games with sustainable, healthy development plans; to tell stories that engage players through worlds and experiences that keep them hooked from start to finish.

What We Need

Are you passionate about level and world design in gaming? Do you have a drive to grow and learn in a dynamic environment? Join our team and contribute to the next iteration of the Mafia franchise, where your creativity will shape immersive gaming experiences.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Work in an open world virtual environment using Unreal Engine 5
• Collaborate with the art team and leverage assets to design appealing and immersive game experiences
• Validate and optimize in-game assets to ensure peak performance.
• Maintain map organization and enhance area optimization for seamless gameplay

What We’re Looking For:

• Passion for level design with a keen curiosity about crafting captivating gaming experiences
• Hands-on experience in a similar role (school projects, game jams, indie/home projects) is a huge plus
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken
• A curiosity about crafting immersive and compelling game environments.

You Might Also Have:

• Good knowledge of Unreal 5 engine when it comes to asset placement and scene creation
• Basic knowledge of Unreal Blueprint
