Inpay is seeking an experienced lead/senior UX/UI Designer based in Copenhagen to join our team to design interfaces and flows for efficient operation of mass payment processing. This individual contributor role will be critical in ensuring that our internal backoffice platform, which is used for various operational purposes is intuitive, efficient and user friendly. We have high growth ambitions and the internal backoffice is a critical enabler to ensure our success in achieving and sustaining our growth projections.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UX/UI design particularly within B2B payment or fintech environments and will be skilled at leading and influencing team members to adopt new systems, tools and processes. Understanding complex workflows, translating user needs into intuitive interfaces, and creating cohesive design solutions that improve productivity and user satisfaction while reducing the cognitive load are of crucial importance.

This internal focussed role requires very close collaboration with internal stakeholders, product managers, and developers to ensure that our tools are efficient, user-friendly, and aligned with business goals.

  • Key Responsibilities:

User Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct research, interviews, and testing with internal stakeholders to gather insights and understand their needs, pain points, and workflow requirements.
  • Analyze user feedback and data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Design and Prototyping:

  • Create wireframes, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Develop prototypes and mock-ups that illustrate UI elements, interactions, and navigation.
  • Ensure that designs adhere to the relevant guidelines and visual identity.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a design system and guidelines for internal tools.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with product managers across squads to define design requirements.
  • Collaborate with developers across squads to ensure the feasibility of designs and to provide clear design specifications and assets.
  • Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders, gather feedback, and iterate on designs based on input.

Testing and Validation:

  • Conduct usability testing to validate design solutions and gather user feedback.
  • Iterate on designs based on test results to enhance user experience and address usability issues.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, preferably with a focus on internal tools or complex systems.
  • Experience designing for B2B payments applications or internal systems in a payments/fintech environment will be considered as a distinct advantage.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design work for web applications, highlighting your process, design thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Knowledge of agile development processes and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale and influence stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
