A company that values innovation and collaboration in Copenhagen, focused on enhancing digital customer experiences with a team of passionate and seasoned developers.
Are you an experienced, creative, and analytical designer with a solid grasp on disciplines ranging from research, analysis, ideation, facilitation, pixel-perfect design, prototyping, and user testing?
Would you like to be part of both an ambitious but informal UX & Design team working strategically on the end2end user journey, and also be situated very closely to the development in a product team, where you together with one other UX Designer have the main responsibility for product design of some of our key digital offerings?
If so – great! Join us and be part of digitally transforming our ferry & Terminals business!
About the role
DFDS is an integrated shipping and logistics company – the largest in Northern Europe – that also operates ferries for passengers. To over 8,400 freight customers, we deliver high performance and superior reliability through shipping and port terminal services, and transport and logistics solutions. For six million passengers, we provide safe overnight and short sea ferry services. Our employees are located on ships and in offices across more than 20 countries.
You will be working on a product belonging to your product team in Ferry & Terminals (F&T) part of DFDS, along with another UX Designer, but will also collaborate and coordinate continuously with the other UX and UI Designers in DFDS, in order to harvest the synergy between your respective domains, and make sure that we are all pulling in the same direction.
There are currently eigth skilled, and friendly international UX Designers, one well-rounded UX Researcher, two talented UI Designers who develop and mature our Figma-based design system, and a UX Team Lead who works strategically with upper management to make sure that UX is part of the process.
In your new job you will …
About you
We think the strongest teams are built on diversity and inclusivity. Contrasting opinions, varied skills and strong characters bring out the best in us all. With this in mind, we think that you as a person would be a great fit if you are a proactive self-starter, and a strong finisher, who can take initiative and take responsibility for getting things done. You are analytical and can see the bigger picture, but still have a great eye for details and coherence. You are a team player who values collaboration and can give and receive constructive feedback on designs.
The ideal person for this position will have the following qualifications:
Experience working in a Scrum team, and/or within a bigger international organisation would make us happy. Experience with analytics tools and AIs would make us elated, but if you are tech-savvy and a quick learner that is fine too.
Working at DFDS
Join the movement and grow with us.
While you’re with us, we want you to develop and move yourself on. We’ll encourage you to challenge yourself to acquire new skills and perspectives.
Despite being a 158-year-old company, DFDS is a very modern, diverse, and innovative organisation, that recognizes the value of UX, bases decisions on data, and supports UX into higher-level strategy.
In DFDS you will be joining the Ferry & Terminals Tribe in the Technology and Innovation (T&I) division, in our swanky new HQ in Copenhagen, and will be able to enjoy a great and social workplace, where individuals are afforded a fairly great extent of flexibility, because we believe in people. Here you will have access to both a lovely cantine, café, game room, fitness facility, massage, sports club and a spectacular ocean view.
You will of course have a laptop and work phone made available to you, and also get a personal education budget to spend on areas that help grow your professional profile.
Are we a match? Then what are you waiting for? Apply Now.
If you think your personality, skills, experience, and ambition match this role, we’d love to hear from you. Send us: your resume of relevant experience and a portfolio with both UX and UI work that you are proud of.
We will meet potential candidates on an ongoing basis. Applications without a portfolio attached will not be considered.
Please note that due to the summer holiday, the process can take longer than usual, but rest assured that we will reach out to you as soon as possible.
We look forward to hearing from you.
