We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer!
We are now looking for an experienced and curious backend developer to help us scale and maintain our newly released platform - Spenn! You will be involved in all phases of product development, from new feature discussions to production deployments. In addition to this, you will be part of launching loyalty-as-a-service and greatly impact what will be a complete ecosystem!
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and deploy scalable, secure, maintainable and well-tested Java backend code running on Kubernetes in AWS.
- Optimize the application for performance and scalability, addressing any bottlenecks while ensuring the system can handle large amounts of data and user traffic
- Design, implement and maintain APIs to ensure communication flow between different parts of the application and external systems
- Take ownership of the integration platform, develop it further in collaboration with the solution architect and other developers
- Develop, maintain and optimize databases using PostgreSQL and MariaDB
Required experience and qualifications:
- Experience with cloud technologies (we use AWS)
- Solid experience with developing in the Java/spring framework and Kafka event-based software
- Good understanding of security and GDPR/privacy by design
- Skilled in developing for scalability and performance (experience from applications with high load and strict uptime requirements is a plus)
- Experienced with designing databases

- Commercially minded with a desire to contribute to the development and the launch of Loyalty-As-A-Service
- Shows initiative and is responsible
- Good collaboration and communication skills
- Good communication skills in English and a Scandinavian language

Hiring process:
Ideally, we are looking for someone to join as soon as possible, however, finding the right mix of dedicated employees for the company is at the core of all decisions in the hiring process. You can expect a three-step process including an introductory call with Nina to start, followed by a 1st interview with Kristian to mutually get to know each other. If we move forward from here you will experience a 2nd interview where you get to show us who you are through the use of a personality test with Helle, and your technical expertise through a structured interview with discussions and problem-solving with Kristian.
