Job Title: Specification Consultant
Location: London and Home Counties - Field-Based (with flexible working arrangements)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (08:00 – 17:00, flexible hours)
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum

Purpose of the Role:
As a Specification Consultant, you will act as a key liaison between the company and specifiers, ensuring that products meet industry standards and customer needs. Your role will involve delivering Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions, offering expert technical advice, and supporting the wider team in making the company's products the top choice for clients. Building strong relationships with clients will be essential, ensuring they 'Know us, like us, trust us.'

Requirements

  • Deliver 1 CPD session per day to specifiers.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing project-specific advice on product specifications.
  • Assist specifiers in developing product specifications that comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct at least 3 architect visits per day.
  • Report on CPD statistics and project updates.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and advancements to support specifiers effectively.

Skills and Attributes Required:

  • Hungry, Humble, Smart
  • Strong technical knowledge of product specifications and industry standards
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
  • A team player who is approachable and eager to learn
  • Ability to build rapport and develop strong relationships with clients

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the construction industry with experience in a technical role.
  • Experience presenting CPD sessions.
  • Customer-facing experience providing technical advice is essential.
  • More importantly, a great attitude and a positive working culture are highly valued.
