The Role

Your mission

GotPhoto is making photographers more successful in their business by reducing their time spent on workflows and increasing their sales. Our SaaS product is supporting thousands of photographers in Europe and North America. As our CTO you are safeguarding the engine fueling the growth and stability of the photographer's businesses. You set the vision and strategy to ensure risk-free, reliable, and innovative engineering of our platform that supports our photographers today and also in the years to come. Due to the standards and vision you put in place, we ensure that GotPhoto has a state-of-the-art tech stack, infrastructure, and engineering principles that allow thousands of more photographers to join our platform and current photographers to grow to the heights they envision for their business.

Responsibilities

  • Define the engineering vision for our company that allows for an efficient and effective platform in the future
  • Define organizational structure and operating model of our engineering, IT security, IT and data engineering departments
  • Define our technological infrastructure to fit the business needs and goals
  • Ensure usage of technology resources for profitability and with a clear commercial purpose in mind
  • Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage
  • Build quality assurance and documentation processes
  • Ensure IT cost and operational efficiency
  • Ensure the security and compliance of our platform
  • Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance
  • Communicate Technology Strategy to the company, partner, and investors
  • Definition and tracking of budget and resourcing
  • Lead Tech Due Diligences on upcoming M&A targets as well as post-merger implementation
  • Partnering with Product to build-out a product roadmap and strategy

We are looking for:

  • 3-5+ years experience as CTO of a SaaS company
  • Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
  • Understanding of budgets and business-planning
  • Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven Tech Leadership and ability to inspire and attract talent
  • Strategic thinking
