The Senior Manager, Technical RMM Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) Sales will play a crucial role in supporting the RMM sales team by providing technical expertise and guidance to prospective clients and partners. This role focuses on RMM solutions, ensuring clients understand the technical aspects and benefits of the company's offerings. The Sales Engineer will engage with clients globally, delivering technical presentations, demonstrations, and support to drive sales and ensure customer satisfaction.

This is a remote opportunity within the US and Canada.

What you can expect:

  • Technical Pre-Sales Support:

  • Provide technical expertise and support during the sales process, including product demonstrations, proof of concept (POC) setups, and technical presentations.

  • Collaborate with the RMM sales team to understand customer requirements and tailor solutions to meet their needs.

  • Customer Engagement:

  • Engage with prospective and existing clients to understand their technical requirements and challenges.

  • Conduct in-depth technical discussions with clients to ensure a clear understanding of the company’s RMM solutions.

  • Serve as the technical point of contact for customers during the sales process.

  • Solution Design and Architecture:

  • Design and architect RMM solutions that meet customer requirements and integrate with their existing systems.

  • Work with product management and engineering teams to ensure solutions are feasible and align with product capabilities.

  • Provide feedback on product features and functionality to the development team based on customer interactions.

  • Product Demonstrations and Training:

  • Conduct live and virtual product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of the RMM solutions.

  • Develop and deliver training sessions for customers and partners to ensure they are proficient in using the company’s products.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, solution briefs, and FAQs.

  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Assist customers with technical issues during the sales process, working closely with the support team to ensure timely resolution.

  • Provide post-sales technical support as needed to ensure customer success and satisfaction.

  • Monitor and respond to technical inquiries from customers and partners.

  • Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with the sales, marketing, and product teams to align technical strategies with business goals.

  • Participate in sales meetings, providing technical insights and updates.

  • Communicate customer feedback and market trends to the product development team.

  • Leadership:

  • Manage the Sales RMM MSP Partnership team providing direction, support, and resources they need to perform and grow.

What we're looking for:

  • 7+ years of experience in a sales engineering or technical pre-sales role and 1-2 year managing people with a preference for experience in an IT or SaaS environment
  • Strong understanding of Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) solutions and related technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the demonstrated ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to design and architect technical solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Experience working in a global environment, with the demonstrated ability to manage relationships across different regions and cultures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Willingness to travel 40% or more to meet with clients and attend industry events.

USA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $149,000 USD and $201,000 USD and is commission eligible. The role is also eligible for immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $143,000 CAD and $193,000 CAD and is commission eligible. The role is also eligible for immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

At 1Password, we approach each individual's compensation with a promise of fair market value and internal equity commensurate with experience and specific skill set.

We believe in the power of remote work, but we also recognize that some in-person connection with team members and customers is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, occasional travel for in-person engagement will be a part of this role. This may include but is not limited to bi-annual department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events will typically be held in varying locations across Canada and the USA. In leadership roles, you can expect to travel once per month on average.
