About the Role

We are looking for a QA Specialist to join our team at Trader Corporation. You will review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. You will write and execute test scripts and scenarios as required under guidance from the PA/BA team and understand project requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Participation in the testing activities of the software to ensure the highest level of quality

- Identify and report defects, verify fixes, work with developers to ensure defects are resolved

- Open and close defect tickets

- Provide task estimates required for the quality assurance effort of assigned projects

- Establish cooperative relationships to work efficiently with co-workers, and participate as a member of a Quality Assurance team

- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases

- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities

- Design, develop automation solution and execute automation scripts and work closely with Automation team in updating the test scripts and ensuring automation test suite is up-to-date

- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts

- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

About You

- 3-5 years of QA experience

- Proven work experience in software quality assurance

- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes

- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases

- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools

- Solid knowledge of SQL, scripting, Json and XML

- Working with Batch file processing projects is an asset

- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus

- Team-oriented, willingness to learn from colleagues and to work with other departments beyond Development, comfortable in a multi-task

- Experience using Azure DevOps set of Quality Assurance tools;

- Experience working in an Agile environment
