Responsibilities

• Work as part of the DFT team and work with multi site international team of engineers.

• Responsibilities can involve evaluating the DFT EDA flow, developing methodologies and writing scripts.

• Perform DFT RTL integration based on DFT architecture specification and tool generated logic.

• Exposure to DFT standards JTAG(1149.1,1149.6,1500), IJTAG(1687) and logic/memory BIST

• Perform tasks needed for DFT integration – RTL integration, synthesis, equivalence checks, timing analysis and update timing constraints.

• Perform scan insertion, ATPG verification and test pattern generation.

• Working knowledge to Verilog, system Verilog along with tool simulator usage at RTL and gate level simulations.

• Can understand logic design, synthesized netlist and as DFT aspects of physical design.

• Command on Linux and shell script languages like perl, tcl and C/C++ is a must.

• Some experience working with the tester pattern bring up would be a plus.

• Can mentor junior DFT engineers on need basis.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or computer science.

• 3-5 years of experience working with ASIC DFT.

• Understanding of ASIC design flow, methodologies, physical design, timing constraints and verification.

• Experience in scan insertion and DFT setup, integration and validation using Tessent tools other industry standard tools.

• Eager to learn new technology.

• Continuous improvement and desire to be more efficient.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• RTL experience to understand, trace and debug RTL connectivity issues as they pertain to DFT.

• Experience on writing timing and UPF constraints for DFT.

• Great communicator and work well within team of engineers.

• Great at time management and have a sense of project management.

• Prioritize solid design practices and reliability over complex and risky implementation.

• Excellent scripting skills (csh/bash, Perl, Python etc.)

• Familiar with implementation or integration of design blocks using Verilog / System Verilog.

• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements.

• Team-player, can-do attitude, and ability to work well in a group environment while still contributing on an individual basis.

• Enjoys being challenged and learning new skills.

• Great on documenting implementation details for reference by team members.

• Ability to do multi-tasking if the job demands.

• Able to do the job mostly on its own with need-based help.

• Self starter driven to get quality result.
