Project Manager

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management and delivery of several projects and supporting competitive and non-competitive bids for similar work. You will be responsible for supporting the timely provision of formal programme and contractual deliverables, performance metrics, progress reports and data/information in support of the key performance indicators on the programme. You will also involved in programme budgetary control and effective risk management.

In this Project Manager role, you can expect to:

• Support the management of the GDUK project, manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure all project and contractual deliverables are delivered to schedule, budget and quality constraints
• Ensure any applicable Key Performance Indicators KPIs targets are achieved and any associated required evidence is clearly recorded, and customer approval obtained
• Proactively and effectively manage all project risks – with a clear definition of risk description, cause, consequence (cost and schedule impacts) and mitigation plans
• Support the development of key stakeholder relationships (Customer, User, Partner, Supplier) clearly communicating project performance and status

Requirements

This is an ideal role for an intermediate Project Manager looking to further develop their skills. You should have experience working in a project environment with multiple stakeholders and a positive attitude towards problem-solving. You will also need:

• Degree qualification (not necessarily in Project Management) and a project management qualification (desirable but not essential)
• Customer facing experience coupled with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Understanding of project management techniques, including cost accounting, progress monitoring, risk and opportunity management and performance reporting
• Proactive management and strong schedule adherence
