Constituency Assistant

• Outreach Strategy: Develops and executes outreach for the local Member of Parliament (MP). Stays informed of all local events and activities, relaying them to the Chief of Staff and MP.
• Executive Assistance: Oversees the scheduling of meetings and events, and ensures the Member has all materials and information needed for each scheduled event and activity.
• Event Planning: Lead the planning and execution of events such as MP events, town halls, roundtables, and other community activities.
• Volunteer Management: Manage a roster of volunteers and oversee the organization of working groups, including setting meeting schedules and facilitating discussions.
• Government Updates: Stays informed about federal government funding and support for individuals, organizations, and businesses, and provide updates via email and telephone.
• Additional Responsibilities: Assist with other team projects and as assigned by the Chief of Staff and Member.

Requirements

Education

• Post-secondary education from a recognized institution OR a combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
