Stockroom Clerk

Job Description

The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for issuing parts from the stockroom to the assembly floor, fabrication department or to customers. This individual also receives completed parts into the stockroom and puts parts away when checked in. This position assists in maintaining an accurate inventory control and will be expected to perform monthly inventory cycle counts. The Stockroom Clerk should be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and should be able to work under minimal supervision.

Essential Functions:

• Receives parts into the stockroom, including parts from supplier, plating vendors and parts from fabrication.
• Counts, sorts, weighs incoming orders to verify receipt of items on purchase order, flags if incorrect.
• Issues parts for inter-company material requisitions.
• Issue parts orders for internal and external customers.
• Provides assistance on inventory accuracy duties; enters all received goods into the ERP system (SAP) and performs cycle counts on a periodic basis.
• Delivers material/packages within the facility.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area and keeps the Stockroom organized.
