Associate Director - IS&T

Turner & Townsend is currently recruiting for Associate Directors to join our Industrial Services and Technology Real Estate team.

Responsibilities

As an Associate Director, you will be responsible for:

• Leading and managing large-scale and complex information systems and technology projects in the real estate sector, at the enabling stage (could include data centres, cloud computing, smart buildings, etc.)
• Developing and implementing project strategies, plans and budgets
• Establishing and maintaining effective processes and systems to be utilised throughout the project
• Monitoring and reporting on project progress and other performance indicators
• Managing and mitigating risks and issues
• Preparing and delivering written project communication materials
• Preparing and presenting formal project progress and other reports
• Managing and coordinating the client, contractors and designers
• Attending and chairing meetings and drafting minutes, etc
• Other responsibilities, to include:
  • Developing and delivering presentation materials for client pitches, etc
  • Managing and updating key information into the Turner & Townsend internal database
  • Providing thought leadership and insights on the latest trends and innovations in the information systems and technology real estate sector

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Relevant qualification (project management or construction management)
• Ideally NEC accredited Project Manager
• Member of a chartered institute e.g., RICS or happy to work towards
• Good knowledge of construction industry themes such as MMC, Net Zero Carbon and Digital agenda
• Good knowledge of project lifecycle and business case approvals process
• Ideally experience of working on information systems and technology projects
• What experience we are looking for
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience in large scale information systems and technology projects in the real estate sector (10 years)
  • Experience of master planning/strategic estate development and capital project planning for business case compilation is desirable.
  • Detailed experience of NEC contract administration is desirable
  • Demonstrable experience in client-facing roles at all levels (including Directors of Information Systems and Technology/Strategy and Planning/Capital Development to stakeholders and end-users)
