Editorial Squad Manager

As an Editorial Squad Manager in Advanced Learning Editorial, your primary role will be the management of people and workflows, while supporting Editors and Publishers in achieving revenue and publication targets:

What you'll be doing:

• Provide an effective and efficient support service to a squad of Editors and Publishers through team capacity planning and management.
• Work with Editors supported by squad to resolve issues, set expectations, manage standards and seek and offer performance feedback.
• Deliver frontlist publication plan for squad.
• Partner with other Editorial Squad Managers to facilitate active work sharing between squads and intra profit centre.
• Manage a squad of Editorial Assistants in our Business, Economics and Law team, engaging in recruitment, colleague onboarding, performance management, and talent development.
• Work with other Editorial Squad Managers and the Editorial Workflow Managers to contribute to common practices and processes including workflow SOPs, management practices and decision protocols to create a consistent management experience and a consistent author experience.
