Teaching Assistant

The Integrated Innovation Institute (III) at Carnegie Mellon University breaks down the silos that impede innovation. We believe that by uniting the disciplines of engineering, design, and business, we can build impactful solutions that create value for real people.

The III is looking for a Teaching Assistant (TA) who can support the instructor for the duration of the Fall 2024 semester. The time commitment is approximately 10 hours of work each week from Monday, August 19, 2024 through December 19, 2024.

TA responsibilities include:

• Assisting the instructor in providing an effective learning experience for students enrolled in the course.
• Attending all class meetings for one section each week, for the full duration of the semester.
• Managing course activity online in Canvas, including but not limited to supervising student submissions, helping to ensure appropriate structure, format, and best practices are followed in all submitted deliverables.
• Reviewing student drafts and final assignments, providing actionable, constructive feedback, notes, scores, and corrections as appropriate.
• Holding office hours for 90 minutes per week to assist students as needed.
