About the role

An exciting opportunity has opened up in our Credit Unions Sales Team. In the role, the successful candidate will:

  • Comply with the Risk and Compliance frameworks, policies and procedures associated with the role:
  • Assistant to Credit Union Investment Managers.
  • Prepare investment proposals in conjunction with the Investment Managers to deliver top quality reports and analysis to credit union sales.
  • Provide assistance with managing advisory client portfolios in conjunction with agreed client mandates and IC guidance.
  • Direct engagement with clients on all aspects of portfolio management.
  • Significant portfolio analysis with a strong focus on regulatory limits and prescribed asset allocations.
  • Provide support to Investment Managers in preparation for client meetings and attend meetings when required.
  • Assist in updating credit union Investment Policies.
  • Provide cover for Investment Managers when unavailable.
  • Review existing client relationships to evaluate potential.
  • The provision of support as required, in relation to projects for the CUCS team.
  • Collecting data on Credit Union annual accounts and applying a Forecast Accounting model when required.
  • Provide administrative support to Senior IMs and Head of Credit Unions as required.
  • Responsibility for trade implementation of client instructions.
  • Collaborate on preparation of new business tender proposals.

Requirements

About you

We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:

  • Third level qualification.
  • QFA or working towards completion.
  • A high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of investments.
  • Keen eye for detail and interest in investment processes.
  • Strong organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the Credit Union sector is desirable.
  • Strong administration skills and a high level of proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Strong numerical skills and experience of working to tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • A high level of initiative and enthusiasm with the ability to identify opportunities within the market.
  • A strong client focus to ensure effective service delivery.
  • A strong commitment to personal development.
