Software Architect

Azumo is looking for a highly motivated Software Architect with a minimum of 7+ years of experience intechnologies like Javascript, Node, React and Angular. The position is based remotely in Latin America.

We expect you to act as a software development expert who makes high-level design choices. As a Software Architect you will also troubleshoot coding problems and collaborate with other experts to produce high-performance software systems.

This position will give you the opportunity to collaborate with bright engineering minds in SaaS and big data computing. As a key engineer in the web team, you should excel with minimal technical supervision, embrace time constraints, and work with team members to deliver high quality products and features.

Responsibilities:

• Defines, adapts, assesses, documents and explains solution architecture and software architecture.
• Identifies, avoids and minimizes technical and business risks for a project.
• Collaborates with team members to determine best practices for functional and non-functional requirements.
• Oversees and approves all final programs and products before formal launch
• Oversees and supports the coaching and training of team members to ensure all necessary employees are confident in the use of software applications
• Actively seeks ways to improve business software processes and interactions
• Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
• Works independently; receives minimal guidance.
• Ensures software security by developing programs to actively monitor the sharing of private information
• Oversees progress of development to ensure consistency with initial design

Requirements

Qualifications for Software Architect

• 7+ years of experience designing and implementing software applications
• 1+ years of experience experience with PHP or equivalent server-side scripting language (Perl, Ruby, Python, etc)
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field
• Professional certification in software architecture, frameworks, or languages
• Demonstrated knowledge of web applications, cybersecurity and open source technologies
• Experience developing software utilizing various coding languages including Javascript, Node, React and more
• Outstanding collaboration and communication skill are essential
• Experience overseeing customized development of processes for multiple projects simultaneously
• Extensive understanding of architectural styles and design patterns
• Professional experience analyzing code for weaknesses and errors, and overseeing plans to improve them
• Experience designing secure software systems based upon industry-specific specifications
