About the role:
AS400 Senior developer with Production Support/Batch support experience min 4-8 Years. Should have experience in CORE banking domain. Experienced RPG resource who can deliver their work independently and provide technical support to other AS400 developers.

The team works on CORE Banking modules in Scrum/ VSM model. The team handles requirement intake, development, testing and release management activities of defects as well as new features.

What you will be doing:

AS400 Senior developer with Production Support/Batch support experience min 4-8 Years.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. (Code must be used in core version of applications available for sale commercially.)
• Having some experience L2 support for production banks to assist with nightly jobs.
• Works as a developer with Scrum team/Kanban team on enhancements and defects.
• Performs analysis, issue re-creation, and peer code review.

• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.

• Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
• Hands-on experience of forming and executing SQL queries on IBMi DB2.

• Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you will Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

• 4+ years of experience as a AS400 Senior developer with Production Support/Batch support experience.

• Knowledge of banking practices, regulations and operations within assigned line(s) of business
• In-depth understanding of design patterns and their application
• Exposure to banking and financial sector

• Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. (Code must be used in core version of applications available for sale commercially.)
• Having some experience L2 support for production banks to assist with nightly jobs.

• Knowledge of functions, features and components of existing and planned operating systems and applications

• Ability to work in an agile development environment where developers and testing personnel work closely together to ensure requirements are met or exceeded

• Experience in Banking domain in a product environment.

• Expertise in Agile process, methodologies and ceremonies

• Exposure to performance testing using Jmeter

• Should be self driven and work independently to design manual and automation scripts based on product features

• Excellent communication and problem solving skills

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent education/experience in a computer science field
