Solution/Delivery Architect will be responsible for the design and thought leadership throughout the full life cycle of a customer's journey. The individual will have the opportunity to be engaged from pre-sales activities focusing on the development of leads, initial scoping, high level solution designing, estimation and statement of work generation. Then within the delivery phase you will work closely with our delivery teams to bridge the gap between the high level solution design and low level solution design. Supporting the delivery implementation, providing guidance and leadership. Besides the customer engagements you will look to use your experience and that of the large Solution team in assisting in the creation and design of our next generation of products and services, allowing you to develop truly impactful solutions which you will help to take to market working with internal teams and partners.

Job Requirements

  • Pre Sales Activities: Work with the Sales, Client Partners and Consultants to support the development of leads, estimates, resource planning, ultimately resulting in the production of a statement of work for the customer.
  • Solution Design: Creation of the high and low level designs and architecting systems in a cloud native fashion on any of the 3 major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure). Provide review and quality assurance across the team’s output.
  • Collaborate with delivery: Work with the DevOps, Data Engineering and Application Development delivery teams to bridge the gap between the solution designs ensuring that delivery of the solutions are inline with the requirements of the customers.
  • Solution Development: Taking insight and feedback from Sales, Client Partners and industry to develop new solutions and products which will help benefit our customers. Then working with the engineering teams and in collaboration design and delivering these new solutions which can be taken to market.
  • Continuous Learning: Set aside the time to develop skills and knowledge to broaden your experience and understanding of the Cloud and Data space. Work to share this knowledge internally and externally through evangelism, utilizing different forums and mediums,

Requirements

  • Technical aptitude: 9+ years of experience in Cloud Technologies, specific focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS) (GCP or AWS Certified necessary). Additional cloud platform experience is ideal but if not, a strong interest to learn and develop skills across all three major CSPs (GCP, AWS and Azure) is needed.
  • Industry knowledge: Familiarity with the Cloud Solutions industry.
  • Understanding of key cloud native technology solutions such as CI/CD pipelines, open-source and cloud native technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience in defining and assuring the estimation of architecture work.
  • Experience with leading migration projects covering No-VM environments to VM on-prem or in cloud environments. This could also include ‘lift and shift’ or full modernization migrations.
  • Exhibit excellent understanding of the managed cloud hosting business concepts (AWS, GCP, Azure), market practices and trends.
  • Demonstrable skills and expertise with cloud architecture best practices and thought leadership in their practical application.
  • Customer-centric mindset: A strong focus on understanding and prioritizing the needs of customers and a genuine commitment to their success.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
  • Relationship-building abilities: The capability to build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customers, especially from mid to senior levels.
  • Problem-solving skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve customer issues and challenges.
  • Time management: Effective time management skills to handle multiple customer accounts and tasks simultaneously.
  • Proactive approach: Being proactive in identifying potential issues, opportunities for improvement, and going the extra mile to ensure customer success.
  • Team player: Collaborating effectively with other teams within the organization, such as sales, marketing, and product development.
  • Adaptability: Being adaptable to different customer personalities, challenges, and evolving company needs.
  • Previous experience as a cloud architect within either a pre-sales or delivery role is necessary.
