About the role

project44 is looking for a Director to scale Network Operations globally. This critical leadership role will report into our VP, Global Network who oversees global onboarding, data quality, and network growth across NA, LATAM, EMEA and APJ.

Key responsibilities are: managing our teams that locally operationalise our track and trace as well as lifecycle products, with the aim of rapidly providing value to some of project44’s customers that include brands such as Amazon, IKEA, Unilever, CH Robinson etc.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute our strategy to scale project44 into EMEA and APJ markets as the leader in Real-time Visibility.
  • Hire, develop and lead our local teams (Carrier ELD onboarding, Integrations and Customer Ramp) based out of Amsterdam, Aalborg, Krakow + remote (team of 50+).
  • Drive individual Network team members’ career goals, growth opportunities, and performance feedback. Identify resourcing needs and manage headcount planning.
  • Engage with major carriers, develop our launch strategies, collaborating closely with our launch customers, carriers and partners.
  • Lead a subset of our Network strategic initiatives – such as improvements in productivity and quality and the operationalisation of new products. Bring rigor to industry research, market analysis to improve decision making and execution speed.
  • Manage the regional Network budget and be accountable for financial outcomes.
  • Develop KPIs and reporting for all Network activities and measure progress (with the support of our centralized reporting teams) – make material improvements to carrier onboarding rates, funnel conversion, volume tracked, number of connections within the Network
  • Work with Sales, Customer Success and other p44 teams to win deals and improve customer and carrier outcomes alike.
  • Quickly build a deep understanding of our business, by partnering closely with various internal stakeholders globally, from Product & Engineering to Sales & Marketing.
  • Be comfortable in different roles, “rolling up your sleeves” and being operational when required, leading the team, influencing cross-functional stakeholders (carrier marketing, product, legal, finance etc)

Requirements and preferred skills:

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • You have led large, multi-region operational teams in the past
  • You have strong program management and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent English language and communication skills – verbally and written
    Another European language is a plus!
  • BS degree in Business, Economics, IT, International Affairs or other relevant qualification
  • Ideally, you have prior experience in the supply chain/logistics industry and have worked in fast paced, agile companies.
  • In-office Commitment: Employees are expected to contribute to our collaborative culture by working in the office atleast three days weekly
